Education Program

Program participants are obliged to attend mandatory Portuguese language classes that take place at the training centre 2 evenings per week. Instruction is provided by local native accredited teachers. These lessons will help participants with their on field communication as well as any of their High School classes should they be attending High School.

The Rui Barbosa State School Middle/High School is located onsite at the Academy and is certified by the Brazilian Board of Education. The curriculum is specially designed to allow the players to participate in all football activities. The classes begin at 6.00pm and end at 10.pm each day.

Participants should demonstrate an intermediate level in communicative Portuguese in order to succeed in their High School academics. At least 200 hours of Language study proficiency is required to be accepted to the High School program. Where necessary students attending the High School who require extra assistance outside of the School evening hours will be able to study with a private tutor at certain times throughout the day when they have free time.

We recommend non Portuguese speaking students who still require High School credit to consider continuing their studies with an online High School from within their own country. Contact us to discuss this option further.
